This can be done a lot easier in those rotating wooden blocks from Ricco Harbor's secret level, but it's not as obvious.
Also, 100th post in the "Basic Talk" board!

I recently found my old Mario "Ultimate Codes" disk that works for SMS, and didn't have that many codes for it, but I tried to use what I had. I had a few, such as infinite water, infinite hovering, invincibility, Moon Jump, and a few others.
Here's some stuff I tried and discovered:
*I tried hovering over to the sleeping Petey Pirahna in Bianco Hills Mission Five. Nothing happened when I got over there.
*I discovered it's possible to reach the top of Hotel Delfino by using the Moon Jump code. Sadly, the roof has no collision and I fell through it and landed inside the hotel, a giant dark-blue area.
*You can swim in lava and the poison water (from the Delfino Plaza Secret Shine level), but you can also do it from a glitch (though it's easier with AR).
*Using Moon Jump to get out of the windmill when you're battling Petey Piranha shows that the sky is just a small square of it with seagulls flying around. There is nothing outside of the windmill.
*Using the Rocket Nozzle when Moon Jump is on is a VEEEERRRRRYYYYYYY bad idea.
That's all I've found for now, but I'm going to keep looking, with AR and without!

Part 6:
"Those creatures are genetic mutants." The Noki Elder said. "Mario, do you remember that yellow submarine from Ricco Harbor? The president and some of the highest-ranking scientists on the island would enter the tunnels under Ricco Harbor, where the experiments were rumored to take place."
Mario blinked. "Are you sure? I've been down there, there's nothing but a small Blooper-surfing course."
"I said rumored, didn't I?" The Elder asked him. "Anyway, they loved to perform all kinds of experiments- including mutation. One day, it went horribly wrong and created the creatures attacking the harbor today. But a while ago, these creatures had attacked before. Everyone was always suspicious the the president was evil and corrupt, but now it couldn't be more obvious. That's why we had fought."
"But what happened to them? How are they out now? And why does the government want our heads?" Luigi poured questions out of his mouth. The Noki Elder sighed again.
"When the war ended, President Ster locked them up somewhere on the island. We have yet to find out why they are back." The Elder explained. "And why do they want you dead? It's only simple. To prevent any where else in our world finding out about this, the president has ordered all officials to not let anyone enter or leave the island."
Everyone looked down at their feet. This was just too much to take in. A corrupt government. A Rebellion. Mutations.
After five minutes of nothing, the Noki Elder spoke up. "We need you." He said.
"W-what?" Toad asked, cowering behind Princess Peach's dress.
"We need you to join our rebellion." The Noki Elder replied. "You're the best fighters we know. We could really use you in this war. And this time, we plan to assassinate our president. It's either this, or the government can find you and kill you. You have only this choice."
Mario looked at Luigi. Luigi looked at Toad. Toad looked at Peach. They all looked at each other, then turned to the Noki Elder.
"We're in."

Nice! I'd give you +1 karma, but it's not enabled. I don't really see why we don't need karma, everyone contributes.

I won't. I'll have the game back by Sunday at the most, and now I'll have an Action Replay, so I may be able to make more discoveries!

I agree. Here's a slightly better image of the picture with Mario on a rope. EDIT 5/18/12: Larger, better version replacing previous version. The tower from Gelato Beach is different.

PREVIOUSLY ON DARKNESS SHINES
In the submarine, Mario could not believe how spacious it was. The sub had to be five times bigger than it looked! Around the submarine were wierd electronic screens and maps of Isle Delfino and everywhere around it.
Most screens had a location of the island on live surveillance. Delfino Plaza, Bianco Hills, Sirena Beach, Pianta Village... everywhere but--
"Where's Ricco Harbor?" Mario asked, not taking his eyes off any of the screens.
"And where are we?" Luigi added in.
The Noki Elder looked down. "We're at Isle Delfino's Rebellion Base."
Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad all reacted at once.
"REBELLION??!!"
"What do you mean rebellion?!" Mario exclaimed, not believing what his ears had heard.
The Noki Elder still looked down.
"There is more to this island than you thought you knew, Mario." He mumbled after a minute of silence. "Follow me." He continued, and led them down into a small room completely empty.
"Can somebody please tell us what's going on?" Luigi pestered.
The Noki Elder ignored him and turned to Mario and Peach.
"There's something you should see." Noki Elder pressed a button on a remote-like object and another screen came down. The screen turned on, and they were suddenly viewing Ricco Harbor.
"Why-" Mario began to ask until he realized what they were viewing.
It was Channel 64 ( ;)) News, and a reporter just appeared. He announced that Ricco Harbor was under attack by unidentified creatures, and he had to report from the confines of a helicopter. He revealed that the entire Harbor had been evacuated and the Delfino Military was doing it's best to stop the creatures. The News changed to a different subject and reporter, but not before the gang got a quick eyefull of the creatures.
They appeared to be some sort of aquatic creatures, and were so blue, they almost blended in with the water. There also appeared to be tanks, soldiers, and submarines heading in, but the creatures moved too fast for them.
"What are those horrifying things?" Toad screamed, terrified. The Noki Elder grimaced. "Those are the government's"
If Mario was in disbelief before, this was something totally different. "What do you mean the government's?"
"Like I had said, there's more than you know." The Noki Elder opened the door and walked over a trange bookshelf covered by bullet-bill-proof glass.
"A long time ago, Isle Delfino was a real peaceful place. Then, there was a government uprising. The President of our land, President Chuck Ster, had enforced the army to do whatever they could to stop the uprising. Murders of thousands ensued. Many more captured." The Noki Elder revealed.
Nobody said anything.
The Noki Elder continued. "I was the head of the uprising. Well, not exactly the head. The Leaders were the Elder sages, the oldest and wisest of Delfino's inhabitants. I was the Noki Sage, and I was known as the Noki Elder. My two best friends were the other sages, the Pianta Elder and the Tanooki Elder."
"So what happened after that" Peach asked, daring for him to go on.
The Elder sighed. "The army finally won. It was a catastrophic battle on the sands of Gelato Beach, and after it, we had simply lost too many men-including the two other Elder Sages. We could not survive anymore, especially with most of our leaders gone. One night, President Chuck Ster pulled up in a private limo near our base. His men forced me in there, and the President said that the war should be stopped, and I immediately agreed. However, there was a catch. We could speak no word of the war, never put it in any History books, never whispered anywhere again. I still agreed. And with that, it was all over. But nothing was ever the same."
Mario shook his head, as if he couldn't accept what the Elder had said. "How come I've never heard of this president before? And still, what are those creatures?"
The Noki Elder sat down on an old stool. "The Story is just beginning Mario." He began. "Now the rest of it is..."
TO BE CONTINUED!
Don't ya just love cliffhangers? Sorry for any grammar or spelling issues!

After much debate, I decided this was the best place for this thread, but it can be moved if you want. This topic in a nutshell, just upload cool Mario video game videos from YouTube, like ones that show Glitches, Tricks, Beta things, and even hacking, like a custom SM64 or NSMBW level!
Here's an example:

I've always been intrigued by those invisible paths that Mario entered, like the sewers and those caves in Noki Bay. So I decided to do some research on them while playing.
In Noki Bay, there's one of those ledges with several different paths and openings (the one with one of the paths leading to the Golden Bird at the top). One of the paths is the invisble one, and before I entered, I used some camera work to get the camera in front of Mario (so it would show what was behind Mario; not ahead of him).
I took a VERY small step into the entrance, and the invisible path appeared ahead of me. It was a grayish color, and appeared to be see-through. Just like I had guessed, the paths were non-existent, just some sort of thing triggered by the game.
What was odd was that if you had the camera in front of Mario normally and you did this, the path would still appear, but the grey outline would appear to be covering Mario, as if it were on a different layer (or whatever it's called) than him.
Next up, two other things. One observation and something possibly beta.
*I noticed that on normal signs and the sign on the Surf Cabana at Gelato Beach, there's some sort of weird language made of swirl-like symbols, despite the fact that Piantas, Nokis, and Tanookis all speak English, and some signs like the sign for Hotel Delfino are in English as well. Unless they all speak two different languages, is it possible there could be a fourth, unseen species of Isle Delfino?
*Also, there appears to be a beta toad that can only be found through Action Replay. Here's the video showing it:
What he says makes no sense, meaning he is most likely a beta leftover.

Part 4:
Mario, Toad, Peach, Luigi, and the Grandson continued on into the dark tunnels.
"Where are we going?" Luigi whined for the one-billionth time
"I told you, it's a secret!" The Grandson almost yelled.
"But why?" Toad asked. The Grandson just sighed and they all stopped talking.
-
Eventually, they saw a large pipe at the end of the tunnel.
"Anyone have any experience with pipes?" The Grandson asked. Mario, Toad, and Luigi each raised their hands. Peach gulped.
ONE HORRIBLE HOUR LATER
Finally, Peach had made it with the other down the pipe. The exit was on a ceiling, so they all fell hard to the ground.
"Mama Mia..." Mario moaned until he looked up and awe sturck his face. "Where- where are we?!" he exclaimed. They were in some kind of cavern, a giant hollow cave with a giant hole in the middle full of seawater. There also appeared to be something else in the water.
"What is that?" Luigi asked. The Grandson didn't answer, but instead grabbed a walkie-talkie from his shell and mumbled something into it. Suddenly, the top of a submarine appeared out of the water. The others gasped.
"Welcome!" A voice called out from the submarine, and Mario was taken aback* by how familiar the voice was. Just then, the very tip-top of the submarine opened and out came the Noki Elder!
"Noki Elder! It's you!" Mario sighed in relief. The old Noki jumped off the top and over the water to make a perfect landing onto the floor, as if he were 27 and not-- however old he was.
"What's going on?" questioned Peach. The smile disappeared off the Noki Elder's face. "Maybe you four should follow me and my grandson into here." Noki Elder pointed his fishing pole to the submarine. Without another word, they all entered.
-
